Ear wax is a normal substance created by the body to ward off irritants from entering the ears. Although ear wax usually falls out of the ears naturally in some cases, the wax may build up leading to ears becoming blocked. Symptoms of ear wax build-up include strained hearing, earache, a ringing or buzzing in the ears, or vertigo.
